ROCCAPALUMBA

Roccapalumba is a town of 3,300 inhabitants, located in the Palermo province at about 540m a.s.l. It grew up as a hamlet in the mid-1600s in the fief of Palumba, first belonged to the Ansalones and then to the Princes of Larderia. It has several interesting sites, like the 1600’s Chiesa Madre and the Santuario della Madonna della Luce with remains of a 1600’s small church and where a miraculous apparition of the Virgin was reported.
