ALIMENA

Alimena is a town of about 3,500 inhabitants, located in the Palermo province at 740m asl in proximity to the Balza dell’Edera. The earliest records concerning Alimena go back to the 16^th century referring to the first settlement grown in the area.

The town was officially founded in 1628 thanks to Antonio Alimena who gives it its name.
