VILLAROSA
Villarosa is a tiny town of almost 6,500
standing at 523m a.s.l. Founded in 1762 by Placido Notarbolo, it enjoyed a
period of economic prosperity and growth in the 19th century notably
due to a thriving mining industry in its area.
The Chiesa Madre dedicated to San
Giacomo Maggiore and the Ducal Palace are the most attractive buildings
in town.
