Pergusa is a village in the Enna province standing at 667m a.s.l. It has grown in the 20th century by the shore of the lake after which it was named. Thanks to its high naturalistic value, the area is a major attraction for tourists. Oval-shaped, the lake is bordered by beautiful eucalyptus woods and a, much lesser naturalistic, motor-racing track. Due to lack of precipitation in the last years, the lake’s water level is presently lowest.
