MUSSOMELI
Nestled atop a hill, in an extremely scenic
location, the city of Mussomeli is characterized by narrow streets and houses
jostled with one another. Behind the city, on a rock, rises the Castello
Manfredonico.
At the heart of the town stand the Mother
Church, refurbished in the 17th century, and, few distant, the
1500’s Santuario della Madonna dei Miracoli made of white calcareous
stone. Its portal is embellished by two fine twisted columns.
