BOMPENSIERE

The city of Bompensiere nestles on a hilly area in the province of Caltanissetta marked by the Marrobio and Pizzo plateaus. Up to recent times it felt within Mussomeli territory, once a holding of the Chiaramontes. Agriculture is still the main source of income and job. The Chiesa Madre, dedicated to the Holy Crucifix, is the city’s major attraction.
